September and October Fishing
After a tumultuous late August with wild fires, road closures, river closures and a temporary relocation of Cooper Landing Fishing Guide, LLC, we are back on our regular guiding and fishing program and back in our home in Cooper Landing, AK.
Currently, the fishing is excellent and that trend should continue through the end of September and right into October.
Guests who visit in September and October can expect some of the best fishing conditions the Kenai River will see all season.
With Sockeye Salmon spawning and Rainbow Trout/Dolly Varden voraciously feeding on their eggs, anglers can expect multiple hook-ups with big fish and the very real possibility of landing a fish of a lifetime!
Coho Samon (Silver Salmon) are also abundant during this time and they are a blast on the fly and can also be caught using conventional methods.
We have a busy end of to the month of September coming up and a busy October to look forward to as well!
Thank you to everyone who has supported us over the years and especially to those who supported us through our toughest days during the wild fires that have loomed over our little town.
Tight Lines!
